- Clive James could be seen watching this episode in his documentary, "Clive James in Japan", first shown on ITV in the United Kingdom, it shown some of a sketch and the "Tug of War" game.
- In fact, this was the UK's first glimpse of Takeshi's Castle before Challenge first shown it 15 years later.
- More than likely, James was meant to be a contestant in this episode. However, for unknown reasons he was in the next filmed episode.
